Digital marketing manager joins Empica to boost clients’ online presence
Empica, one of the region’s longest established PR agencies, has taken on its second new team member in less than a month with the appointment of Jo Laws as digital marketing and online manager.
Jo, pictured, who studied Marketing Management in Cardiff, will head the agency’s digital team which delivers stories for clients on the web, manages social media accounts and ensures exposure on digital channels.
The agency, based in Wraxall, near Bristol, and with roots going back to 1989, carries out publicity and marketing campaigns for a wide range of high-profile clients across the country, including law firm Clarke Willmott, property agents Bruton Knowles and Colliers International and DoubleTree by Hilton hotel.
Managing director Martin Powell said: “We have a strong team of experienced journalists, marketing specialists and public relations professionals, and the digital presence of clients is getting more and more important.
“We have always integrated all our media relations, with the important thing being ensuring we get the messages right wherever information about our clients appears. We have an exciting and dynamic young team carrying out the online and digital marketing, which Jo will lead with her knowledge of the latest innovations and thinking.
“The media is fast moving and we have a team skilled at using words, pictures and film to get our messages across on behalf of clients.”
Jo said: “I’m really looking forward to the challenge of working with the huge range of different clients that Empica have and being alongside some of the most experienced PR people in the region.”
Earlier this month Empica joined forces with smaller Bristol-based PR agency Inform Media, with Inform’s founder Neil Fraser joining to head its business-to-business offering.
