Halo effect of creative hub means there’s no space left in HERE

Creative and tech workspace in one of Bristol’s most iconic commercial buildings is now fully occupied following the arrival of its latest tenant.

Branding agency Halo’s move into HERE – the former HTV West studio and HQ on Bath Road – has left the building’s asset managers Ashville operating a waiting list until new space can be developed next year.

Halo, which has relocated its 25 staff from Temple Studios near Temple Meads railway station, is the seventh firm to move into the building since its rebranding and refurbishment last year.

Halo works with blue-chip brands in the fast-moving consumer goods and entertainment sectors, including Live Nation and Ticketmaster, Budweiser Budvar, Sainsbury’s and Jewson as well as challenger brands such as Butcombe brewery and Mallets cider.

Halo creative partner Nick Ellis said: “We picked HERE because of it’s cool mix of peace, size, great views and 80s vibes.”

Ashville asset manager Andrew Oliver added: “We’re proud to have attracted yet another top-flight creative business to our burgeoning community. Our focus is now on a second phase of refurbishment which will make available another 7,500 sq ft in 2019.”

The 60s-built landmark started life as a studio complex in the heyday of commercial TV. Its 60,000 sq ft of office space has been transformed to accommodate a wide range of businesses from design agencies to software developers under the HERE brand.

Other occupiers include brand development agency Colour & Thing, which devised the HERE brand, Hurricane Media, Wattle, Taxi Studio and Yachting Pages.
