Worcestershire Agency Encore Celebrates 15 Years with Charity Campaign

Long running campaign marked with fundraising and charitable donations

Worcestershire marketing communications agency Encore Communications is marking its 15th anniversary with the launch of a new fundraising campaign.

The agency will donate £1500 to good causes over the next 12 months, while raising a further £1500 though a variety of team-led fundraising activities.

Since its establishment in 2009, the agency has become a respected name in the PR and marketing industry, bringing the ART of communication to clients across the UK from early-stage businesses and public bodies to FTSE-listed companies.

Elizabeth Laidler, founding director at Encore Communications, said: “I am incredibly proud of the journey Encore Communications has taken over the past 15 years and grateful for all the support we’ve received along the way.

“When I created the business, right in the middle of the 2008/9 economic crash, my first goal was simply to get through to my wedding later that year and see what happened from there. Twitter was a relative new kid on the block and some businesses still had internet blocks on work computers! Since then, both the communications world and our business have evolved beyond recognition.

“As the agency grew, I knew I wanted to create a business fit for the 21st century – one that could meet the needs of our clients in a fast-changing, 24:7 media world, but one that was also flexible enough to meet the work:life needs of our talented team members. Operating as a fully-remote agency from day one and championing flexible working has been a key part of our approach and one that has delivered real value.

“As we mark our 15th anniversary, giving something back to communities that have supported us seemed the right thing to do, so the ‘Encore 1500’ challenge was born. Funds from the initial fund will be used to support talented individuals and community groups across three areas: The Arts, Sport and Technology. The second £1500 raised as a result of team fundraising will be donated to Encore’s charity of the year, which will be announced shortly.”

The first recipient of the Encore 1500 Challenge fund is Worcestershire teacher and triathlete Matt Warne, who received £250 towards the costs of competing for Great Britain at the European Triathlon Multisport Championships in Portugal this June.
