X-Factor Winner Joins New-Look Children’s Activities Week 2024

Children’s Activities Week (CAW), the UK’s largest annual celebration of children’s activities and fundraising event is set to return on 13th – 19th May 2024 with a brand-new look and celebrity ambassador.

Once again What’s On 4 Kids have teamed up with national charity, Caudwell Children, to bring the exciting week of fun and fundraising to the children’s activities sector which will see thousands of children all taking part in classes all over the UK.

Joining the team this year will be former X-Factor winner and celebrity ‘Mum of the Year’, Sam Bailey, who jumped at the chance to support something that combined two of her passions.

Sam said: “Without the opportunity to sing and perform as a child I wouldn’t be where am I today so to support an industry that encourages those extra-curricular activities for young children really excites me.”

“As a mum of an autistic teenager I am also acutely aware of the need for greater support, awareness and understanding so to be raising money for such a great children’s charity makes this the perfect combination and I can’t wait to get involved.”

Now in its 5th year and with the return of the popular #WatchMeFly theme, this annual event raises vital funds for charity and shines a light on the incredible network of classes and activities taking place in every town and city across the country, delivering vital developmental skills and learning to thousands of children.

Sam Willoughby, Chief Executive of What’s On 4 Kids and Founder of Children’s Activities Week, commented: “CAW is a project that is very close to mine and the What’s On 4 Kids team’s hearts, we wholeheartedly believe in the potential that lies within every child and share this passion with every activity provider and the team at Caudwell Children. During this special week we will see this demonstrated perfectly in the incredible enthusiasm and dedication that goes in to delivering the fundraising activities while also nurturing crucial skills and the social development of children.”

All funds raised from Children’s Activities Week will be donated to national charity, Caudwell Children to provide vital practical and emotional support for disabled and autistic children. The charity provides a wide range of services including autism assessments, powered wheelchairs, sensory equipment, short breaks, employment mentoring and much more.

Director of Executive Projects, Ben Sutcliffe: “We believe in a world where disabled and autistic children have the choice, opportunity, dignity and understanding they deserve and I know that the hundreds of brilliant activity leaders and businesses that take part in Children’s Activities Week share that vision. We are truly honoured to be a part of this amazing campaign and to have the support of such a vibrant and caring group of people.”

Children’s Activities Week 2024 takes place from 13th May to 19th May and children’s activities of all shapes and sizes are invited to take part.
